The Glass Box.

Most apps give you a prediction but don't show how they got there. You should trust your intuition, not a black box.

Every suggestion in Rhythm shows which data points led to it. The app looks at your baby's actual sleep history to find which wake windows worked. If you think it's wrong, you can adjust the wake windows yourself.

  • Transparent "Why?" explanations
  • Adjustable wake window targets
  • Pattern detection (3-7 day averages)

Midnight Mode.

You're half-asleep, holding a baby, fumbling with your phone. The app needs to be fast and not blind you.

Midnight Mode uses a red-light filter (like an astronomer or pilot would use) to preserve your night vision and keep your baby drowsy. True OLED black saves battery and cuts glare.

Milk Stash.

For pumping parents, tracking the freezer stash is a job in itself. Rhythm handles the inventory math for you.

Log bags as you pump, mark them as used when you feed, and move them between locations. Rhythm calculates your total volume and estimates how many days of supply you have based on your baby's eating habits.

  • Track by location (Fridge, Freezer, Deep Freeze)
  • "Days of Supply" calculation
  • Expiration reminders
  • Stash goals and forecasting

Total Control.

Rhythm grows with your child. Start with the "Newborn" preset (Feeds, Diapers, Sleep), then switch to "Toddler" to hide breastfeeding timers and show potty training tools.

You can reorder dashboard tiles, hide event types you don't use (like "Pumping" or "Formula"), and enable "Low Stress Mode" to hide anxiety-inducing metrics like overdue timers.

  • Reorder & toggle dashboard tiles
  • Age-based presets (Newborn to Toddler)
  • Low Stress Mode (hides warnings)
  • Custom themes & categories

Privacy Options.

By default, Rhythm is Local-First. Your data lives on your device. I don't sell it, and I don't see it.

If you want to sync with a partner, you can choose Standard Sync (easy setup) or End-to-End Encryption (E2EE).

With E2EE, your data is encrypted on your device before it ever touches my servers. You hold the key. I literally cannot read your data even if compelled to. The tradeoff: there is no "Forgot Password" link. If you lose your key, the data is gone.
