A baby tracker that works with the lights off.
However you found this, the short version is the same: Rhythm has a Calm Mode that turns off the pressure, and a Midnight Mode built for a room with the lights actually off. Both live in Settings, one tap each.
Whichever mode is on, the log underneath doesn't change. Every diaper, feed, and sleep event still saves at full precision, and turning a mode back off puts the exact numbers right where you left them.
Tap Start and Rhythm tries to open in your phone's own browser instead of TikTok's, so your log doesn't get stranded in an app you'll close later.
The setting that turns the pressure off
Calm Mode is one toggle in Settings that makes exact timers vague, turns off the warning-colored borders, and hides predictions and pattern charts until you go looking for them again. Nothing about what gets logged changes: every diaper, feed, and sleep event still saves at full precision behind the toggle.
It's a per-device setting, so your dashboard can go quiet for a rough afternoon while a partner's phone stays precise. See the full Calm Mode page for what each part of the toggle does on its own.
The other setting, for the other half of the day
Midnight Mode swaps the interface to true black with red-shifted light, the kind that doesn't reset your eyes back to daytime brightness after a 3 AM wake-up. Tap targets get bigger and text zooms slightly, so a half-asleep thumb doesn't need to aim carefully. Run it on a fixed schedule, let it kick in automatically when the phone detects low light, or both.
Opening the app itself doesn't light up the room either: there's no white flash on launch, the detail that's easy to miss until whatever app you're replacing does it wrong at 3 AM. See it in the full feature list.
Free on one device. No account needed to start.
Tracking, Calm Mode, and Midnight Mode all work today with nothing to sign up for: open the link and Rhythm runs on this device. If a partner or another caregiver needs the same live history on a second device, household sync is $5/month or $45/year. That's the only part that costs anything.
I charge for sync because the servers that keep a household current and backed up cost money to run. I do not sell your data or show ads.
Questions
Does Calm Mode or Midnight Mode stop recording data?
No. Both only change what you see: timers, colors, and predictions on one side, the whole color scheme on the other. Every logged event stays at full precision underneath, whichever mode is on.
Is Midnight Mode just my phone's dark mode?
No. Phone-level dark mode is usually still bright enough to wake you further up. Midnight Mode uses true black and red-shifted light, and the app skips the white flash on launch too.
Do I need to make an account to try this?
No. Tracking, Calm Mode, and Midnight Mode all work today with nothing to sign up for. An account is only needed for household sync.
What does household sync cost?
$5/month or $45/year for the household. Tracking, Calm Mode, and Midnight Mode stay free on one device without it.
