Huckleberry import

Switch from Huckleberry without starting over.

"Try another tracker" made easy. Transfer months of sleep history, and everything else, to see if you like Rhythm's results. Export the CSV Huckleberry emails you, open Rhythm, and check the move before anything is saved.

No account is required for a local import. Rhythm lists unsupported record types before you continue.

Rhythm import preview listing 19 Huckleberry records by type before import

What comes across

Rhythm currently imports sleep, nursing and bottle feeds, solids, diapers, potty, pumping, medicine, temperature, baths, tummy time, screen time, story time, indoor play, and skin-to-skin. You can create a baby profile during the import or add the history to one that already exists.

Huckleberry can change its export. If the file contains a type Rhythm does not support, the preview counts it under "Skipped types."

Nothing changes in Huckleberry. Rhythm reads the CSV file you choose; it does not sign in, write back, or delete your old history. If you decide Rhythm isn't for you, you can easily move back to Huckleberry right where you left off.

How to move your data

  1. In Huckleberry, tap the child profile icon in the menu bar.
  2. Scroll down and tap Export tracking data as CSV.
  3. Tap Got it! Email it, then download the file from the email.
  4. In Rhythm, open Settings, Import Data, Huckleberry.
  5. Choose a new or existing baby, review the counts, and start the import.

Huckleberry sends one export per child, so repeat the process for another baby. Its download link is valid for 24 hours. If it expires, request a fresh one. Those details come from Huckleberry's export instructions.

Keep it local or share it

Import, tracking, and sleep recommendations are free on one device. If that is enough, export a JSON backup now and then. If a partner or caregiver needs the same live history, Plus adds household sync and backup for $5/month or $45/year per household.

I charge for sync because the servers that keep a household current and backed up cost money to run. I do not sell your data or show ads.

Questions

Can I try the import without paying?

Yes. Import, local tracking, and sleep recommendations are free. Plus is for household sync and backup.

Can I import the CSV back into Huckleberry?

No. Huckleberry states that it does not support importing data into the app. Your existing Huckleberry history stays where it is, but anything you log somewhere else afterwards will not appear there.

Can I import more than one baby?

Yes. Huckleberry exports each child separately, so import each CSV into the matching Rhythm profile.

What happens to unsupported records?

They are counted by type in the preview and skipped. Supported records still import.
